Jensen wireless remote
Rating I have a Jensen MSR4050G. The remote works as advertised. It controls all radio functions. Like most IR remotes, line of sight is best for control but will work will from most positions in my boat. So nice for volume etc for my wife, we have the remote on a lanyard my wife wears around her neck, she can crank the music or lower volume whenever the mood strikes her.

What is the Red an Black wire for? Do I need to connect them to power?The RED wire is used to program additional remotes to the receiver. Your MRF27RTL is pre-programmed from the factory and is not necessary to program upon installation. The BLACK wire is the antenna and should be extended for best reception.

Do I need to have a wired remote to make the MRF27RTL compatible with my radio?A wired remote is not necessary in order to be able to use the MRF27RTL. It is possible to use both the MRF27RTL and a wired remote using the included Y-cable adaptor.

The MRF27RTL includes a receiver module that connects to the "TO WIRED REMOTE" port on the back of the MSR3007RTL. No additional parts are required.

Will this remote work with a Jensen MCD5070 marine stereo?From Julie at 5/15/10 12:30 PMThe MRF27RTL is not compatible with the MCD5070 as this radio is not remote-ready. If you would like remote control capabilities, you would need a compatible remote-ready radio, such as our MSR3007RTL.

I have a Jensen MSR4050G satellite ready radio without a remote. My manual says the optional remote is MWR43. Will this remote work (MRF27RTL)? In order to use the MRF27RTL wireless RF remote, do I need to first have either the MWR100 or MWR75 wired remote? It is not necessary to have the MWR100 or MWR75 to use the MRF27RTL.
