My boat has a T-top that is covered in a nylon type material. Can it be mounted under that are should I mount it on top of the "t-top?"
From William at 9/30/11 9:22 PMFor best performance, the SRA25 should be mounted so that it maintains a clear view of the open sky.

I installed this antenna on my Ranger fiberglass boat. The Sirius radio works, but sometimes I need to grap the top of the antenna and move it back and forth slightly to get it to pick up the signal. Does this antenna need to be grounded from the bolt fastening it to the boat?
From Richard at 6/28/10 1:34 PMThe SRA25 - SIRIUS Satellite Antenna does not need to be grounded from the bolt fastening it to the boat. The connection between the antenna and the coaxial cable is a screw-type connector. Please verify this connection is clean and tight. Unscrew the connector, clean the threads both on the antenna and in the connector, and reassemble being sure to hand-tighten securely. Also, the coaxial cable for a SIRIUS Satellite Antenna is very thin. It may be that the internal connection from the cable to the connector itself is compromised and moving it slightly makes or breaks contact. If this is the case, then it would be necessary to replace the SRA25 itself.

Where do you mount this antenna on a pontoon boat? From Frank at 5/13/10 8:50 PMThe antenna should be installed in a manner where it will have an unobstructed view of the sky during use.
